What role will you play

Reporting to the Business Solution Delivery (“BSD”) Lead, the role of the Planning & Intake Integrator is to ensure that a predictive and efficient set of processes and tools are in place to support the IT program and project management efforts within the BSD domains, including the staffing & resourcing of projects and the monitoring & reporting of key metrics.

A key focus on prioritization and resourcing, the incumbent will have deep knowledge of the whole portfolio. Through having visibility into the whole portfolio of projects and minor enhancements, the Planning & Intake Integrator ensures appropriate staff capacity based on operational duties and future project initiatives. This role will contribute to the strategic alignment of projects, while providing visible reporting on project status, portfolio tracking, financial implications, and overall performance.

 

  • The Planning & Intake Integrator will act as a front door for the Business Solution Delivery Lead regarding reporting (dashboards, opportunities tracking etc.) leading effective reporting governance, and capacity and resource management. The role will also be an enabler of IT transformation programs by planning large-scale projects that propel the business partners forward at a new speed and instilling a new culture of delivery.

What will you be responsible for? (Apart from innovating)

  • Consult and collaborate with Business Solution Delivery IT Partners to plan, assess and assign capacity and resource needs that will support the management of the pipeline of opportunities
  • Work closely with other Portfolio Integrators to manage demand, resource and capacity including resolving resource conflicts, interdependencies between the Business Solution Delivery teams.
  • Act as a facilitator for major projects in the business solution delivery team, giving updates on status, and intake, as well as understanding and identifying risks
  •  Create holistic and integrated dashboards for the domain from different data     sources to support executive decision-making, including but not limited to portfolio reporting, tracking of opportunities in the pipeline and capacity management reporting
  • Assess major resourcing risks for the business subdomain to support the Business Solution Delivery Lead to proactively manage business expectations; escalating issues to appropriate stakeholders
  • Together with the Business Solution Delivery Lead and Business Solution Delivery IT Partners, support the prioritization process for the sub-domains and keep an integrated view of IT priorities and requests up to date (portfolio & backlog management)
  • Support the prioritization and intake planning process for cross domain impacts across the various business solution delivery teams
  • Oversee and integrate the sub-domains scorecards and other reporting as needed focusing on quality, KPIs and project or initiative status

What skills you need for this role to be yours?

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience of contributing to the success of a range of mid-to-large size initiatives with above-average levels of complexity and business criticality
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Project tools, methodologies, program and project management
  • Project Management: experienced in managing multiple dependencies between projects; comprehensive knowledge of project management methodologies and tools
  • Value Management: can identify the effectiveness and completeness of business and technology strategies and ensure alignment with clients and other applicable cross-organization strategies
  • Quantitative analysis: quantitative/statistical process modelling and simulation techniques and tools to improve quality, client experience, lower costs and cycle time.

Academic : undergraduate degree in engineering, computer science, business, or equivalent (required),

Certifications : PMP, ITIL foundations (Asset), Agile (Asset)
