Summary

At Innovapost, we are at the forefront of information technology and computing. As an evolving organization, we are currently seeking a Senior Budget Analyst to work in our Finance department.

The Senior Budget Analyst is key to the development of budgets at Innovapost. This position supports the allocation of financial resources by designing financial models, which are the backbone of our budgets.

Responsibilities

You will lead the Innovapost budget process and work in collaboration with our Operations department under the leadership of our FP&A Director. You will continually improve variance analysis and budgetary models and systems. You will also monitor and analyse financial data and statistics to ensure budget is tailored to Innovapost’s business dynamics. 
Other responsibilities include working closely with other members of the Finance & Accounting team, providing guidance on relevant reports and data information to Business Leaders. Furthermore, you will be responsible for various projects that evolve from budget preparation/or questions brought to the FP&A Group by the Innovapost Leadership and CFO. Past experience in budget process ownership is required.

Critical Skills, Competencies and Characteristics

  • 5 years and more of progressive experience including budget delivery, cost accounting, and management and/or cost data analysis.
  • Experience in Information Technology is highly preferred.
  • High standards of integrity, confidentiality, diplomacy and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong data analysis skills.
  • Ability to ask the right questions, identify issues and problem solve.
  • Creative, end user focused presentation of data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Advanced technical knowledge and skills, particularly Excel and budgetary systems

Education

A Bachelors’ Degree in Business or a related discipline, with additional training in accounting or data analysis required.

CPA designation required.
