What role will you play?
We are looking for a Solution Architect (“SA”) who is knowledgeable in SAP system and applications, an expert in one or more architecture areas (application, infrastructure, data, security, cloud, etc.), excellent in problem solving and analytical thinking, an eager learner, and a great team player.
The key role of the solution architect is to translate business requirements into an architecture solution that is secure, robust and complies with enterprise architectural standards and roadmaps. Reporting to the Solution Integration Architect (“SIA”), the SA will work effectively across COEs, scrum teams, business and Business Solution Delivery (BSDs) groups to facilitate integration across solutions and technologies. The SA will also work with the BSDs and the business partners to define solution roadmaps for technologies in BSD domains.
What you'll be responsible for:
- Create architect solution designs that address system integrations, security governance, operating model, size and cost, and other relevant architecture subjects. It is SA’s responsibility to communicate to each of the relevant stakeholders to deliver and maintain a solution that best suits business requirements.
- Analyse current application and infrastructure technology to determine its ability to support the solution and creates relevant conceptual solution and solution map to be referenced by Business Analysts, developers and configuration specialists during the functional design and build process.
- Provide insight and expert advice on complex/large projects, SAP functional and/or technical support, and be able to simplify and standardize complex concepts / processes.
- Facilitate and enable the integration of applications, services and business processes using common methodologies, on-premises and in cloud.
- Provide guidance and advice to projects and fellow SAs on various integration patterns: SAP and CPI, SAP and middleware, SAP and AWS etc.
What does it take for this role to be yours?
- 10 + years’ experience in progressively advancing roles in IT with extensive experience in design, including solution design, architect description, functional design, technical design, etc.
- 6 + years work experience in SAP product consulting, systems integration, or architect role; hands-on experience in SAP system integration
- 7+ years of hands-on experience with extensive knowledge in as many as possible of the following areas:
- Landscape management (public & private cloud), and SAP production and non-production landscapes; experience in build and operations of the ERP landscape that meets best practices for technical requirements and aligns to industry best practices
- Transport management and solution manager, knowledgeable in release / deployment management
- SAP server patching, upgrades, technical monitoring, system capacity and performance management
- Securing the environment from cyber-attacks, knowledgeable in security principles and coordinating security exceptions to address audit requirements.
- SAP systems change / configuration management and application/system support
- ABAP, Web Dynpro, Fiori, HTML5, SAP modules (OTC, FICO, CRM, HCM, MM, EM, Ariba etc.).
- Extensive programming experience
- Knowledgeable in cloud - Azure, AWS etc... Ability to provide guidance to project team on cloud tools, services, and integration with SAP.
Additional skills that set you apart:
- Leadership skills, experience working with various stakeholders
- Strong communication skills, experience in creating presentations for non-standard solutions for approvals.
- S4/Hana experience
- Experience using Jira for Agile software development, and deliver methodology
Education and certification:
- Academic: University degree in engineering, computer science, business, or equivalent (Required)
- Certifications: SAP certifications, cloud certifications, etc.
