What role you will play?

  • Overall management and leadership of the Retail lab environment(s). 
  • Providing in-depth technical support and troubleshooting techniques and or guidance to various issues encountered within the Retail environment.
  • Proactive maintenance with hardware so as not to impact business needs
  • Excellent communications skills as there will be communication with upper-level management and various stake holders for the lab environment
  • Support test and dev environments which may need you to work extended hours occasionally.
  • Role is on-prem at 365 March (on-site)
  • This is a TERM position. There is a possibility to convert to Permanent Fulltime.

What will you be responsible for?

  • Day to day operations of the lab environment – ensuring full functionality
  • Maintain and create new documentation/support processes for the lab environment
  • Provide recommendations for enhancements and improvements to existing processes and or procedures
  • Maintain inventory of all on premise hardware for all Retail labs
  • Provide the necessary support to the various stake holders as required and when called upon
  • Certification of new hardware as equipment becomes End of Life(Evergreening)
  • Day to day support to all training environments / resources for CPC
  • Involvement in supporting and guiding hardware vendor on day 2 incidents as needed

What skills you need for this role to be yours?

  • Minimum 5 years in a supervisory role supporting a lab environment
  • Strong technical problem solving and analytical skills with regards to the lab hardware and environment
  • Being proactive in preventative maintenance along with the ability to switch in a moments notice a particular resource and or environment to help in trouble shooting and or testing
  • High level knowledge of Windows environments (Domain architecture, Group Policy etc), along with networking
  • Solid knowledge of hardware specifically within the retail environment
  • Knowledge of Android Operating system and some knowledge of Hand Held devices used within a retail environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and tools
  • Must be detail oriented
